Recommended GPU Repairshop in Europe (Germany)

I got a RTX 3080 20 GB from China, which probably has memory issues at higher temperatures. Repasting/repadding didn't resolve the issue. I don't want to reball the memory modules and so I am looking for a repair shop, which is located in the EU (for tax and shipping cost reasons).

It's really tough to find one. Krisfix.de was the only known good repair shop, but they decline to work on 3000 series since 2026.

Ask on mikrocontroller.net. There will definitely be people who know who in Germany is doing it or maybe even offer to do it for you. One of the last old fashioned forums on the net. German speaking but nowadays that shouldn't be a problem.

Good idea. Haven't thought about mikrocontroller.net, I even have a login there for quite a long time.

Curious, are they just generally not high-value enough any more to justify keeping spare parts around etc. for?

I see it listed on their pricing page still.

I've been looking for broken 3090s for a short while. And the whole market is funny. Most of these devices have had their VRAM and GPUs physically harvested (for no clear reason). The ones that are truly broken, however, are still trading in the ~$300 range making me think they're destined for more harvesting. Where are people buying these repairable GPUs? I'd gladly take the gamble for fun, honestly, less profit.

        > for no clear reason

Cards are bought from the consumer market, stripped for parts, and then repackaged for datacentre usage (single slot cooler, more vram)

Two things: a repaired 3090 24gb can be sold for 1000+ euro in Germany at least. It's still crazy expensive, so if you have the skills and devices, it can be done with a profit when you buy 3 broken cards and can sell 2 repaired one.

I never reballed any IC, so I would not dare to try it on my card.

There are some pretty good shops in Bucharest, Romania if you are interested, a Friend of had problems with his cpu and it would crash, he sent it there and in 5 days max he got it back, he said it worked good now, and didnt complain about anything, but im sure they are not specialised in GPUs.

CPU and GPUs are kind of a different game. I would rather like to have a shop, which has a good reputation on RTX gpu repairs. But thanks :)

Have you tried posting in the eGPU.io forums or r/hardware? EU repair shops for GPUs are rare but those communities tend to have up to date recommendations. Also worth checking if any local PC builders in your area do board level repair, they sometimes take on GPU work quietly even if they don’t advertise it.

    In the EU? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
