Ask HN: In your job with all the AI go-go/execution velocity – are you lonely?

I am noticing so many corporate job postings and rhetoric around "AI acceleration" and removing humans.

I'm wondering in companies or start-ups where it's all like "yeah let's win" do you have normal/fun/goofing off social time with your co-workers - are you happy or does it feel lonelier?

My first growth stage co was a lot of fun mostly because of the random acts of tech company non-sense my team and I joked around with (think Silicon Valley TV show all ways blue or stupid tangent kind of nerdy stuff), but I am noticing in my last 2-3 years everything seems about total execution and these moments seem lost.

I get that we want competent team members and want to do well, but I'm genuinely wondering if the workplace is changing to lose a lot of the specialness/aliveness of the "valley feeling" of a tech co.

Anecdotal or ?

Anecdotally, I am consulting for a few of these and they are nowhere near that, haha.

Everything still requires 5 approvals, so the challenge now is scrambling for attention.
